Risk Disclosure
Trading can result in the loss of all of the money you trade, and in some cases more. Read this disclosure before acting on anything you learn from The Tradury. Nothing in the Service is a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any investment.
1. General Risks
1.1 Risk of Loss. Only trade money you can afford to lose. Losses can be rapid and can exceed your expectations.
1.2 Leverage. Margin, options, and leveraged products magnify gains and losses. With leveraged or short positions you can lose more than you deposit and may owe your broker additional money.
1.3 No Guarantee. No strategy, indicator, analyst, or course guarantees profit. Past results, including results shared by analysts or members, do not predict future results.
1.4 Your Responsibility. You alone decide whether and how to trade. Consider consulting a licensed financial professional about your situation.
2. Stocks and Low-Priced Stocks
2.1 Volatility. Individual stocks can fall sharply on earnings, news, or market conditions, including through overnight gaps that skip past stop orders.
2.2 Low-Priced Stocks. Stocks trading below five dollars ($5) per share, often called penny stocks, can be illiquid, have wide bid-ask spreads, disclose limited information, and trade over the counter. They are frequent targets of manipulation, including pump-and-dump schemes. You may be unable to sell at a quoted price.
2.3 Short Selling. A short position has theoretically unlimited loss and can be subject to borrow fees, recalls, and short squeezes.
3. Options
3.1 Expiration and Time Decay. Options lose value as expiration approaches and can expire worthless, resulting in the loss of the entire premium paid.
3.2 Leverage and Volatility. Small moves in the underlying, or changes in implied volatility, can produce large percentage gains or losses.
3.3 Selling Options. Writing options can expose you to losses far greater than the premium received, and to assignment at any time for American-style options.
3.4 Required Reading. Before trading options, read “Characteristics and Risks of Standardized Options,” published by The Options Clearing Corporation and provided by your broker.
4. Cryptocurrency and Digital Assets
4.1 Extreme Volatility. Digital asset prices can move by large percentages in hours and trade twenty-four (24) hours a day, seven (7) days a week.
4.2 No Government Protection. Digital assets are not legal tender and are not protected by FDIC insurance or SIPC coverage.
4.3 Platform and Custody Risk. Exchanges and wallets can fail, freeze withdrawals, or be hacked. Lost private keys and mistaken transfers usually cannot be recovered, and blockchain transactions are generally irreversible.
4.4 Regulatory and Tax Risk. Laws and tax treatment of digital assets are changing and may affect value, access, or your tax obligations.
4.5 Scams. Crypto scams are common, including fake tokens, impersonators, and “recovery” services. Tradury never asks members to send digital assets.
5. Foreign Exchange (Forex)
5.1 High Leverage. Retail forex is traded on margin. In the United States, leverage is limited to 50:1 on major currency pairs and 20:1 on others; even at these limits, a small adverse move can wipe out your deposit.
5.2 Over-the-Counter Market. Forex trades are not executed on a regulated exchange. You depend on your dealer’s pricing, execution, and solvency.
5.3 Use Registered Firms. U.S. retail forex dealers must be registered with the Commodity Futures Trading Commission and be members of the National Futures Association. You can check a firm’s status using NFA BASIC on nfa.futures.org.
5.4 Weekend and Event Gaps. Prices can gap at the weekly open or on central-bank and economic announcements.
6. Hypothetical and Simulated Performance
Hypothetical or simulated performance results have inherent limitations. Unlike an actual record, simulated results do not represent actual trading and may under- or over-compensate for factors such as lack of liquidity, slippage, fees, and the emotional pressure of trading real money. Simulated trading programs are generally designed with the benefit of hindsight. No representation is being made that any account will or is likely to achieve profits or losses similar to those shown.
7. Analyst Content and Conflicts of Interest
7.1 Not Licensed Advice. Analysts and moderators share their own analysis for education. They are not licensed financial professionals unless a post states otherwise.
7.2 Personal Positions. Analysts and staff may hold positions in instruments they discuss, and may enter or exit those positions at any time without notice.
7.3 Timing and Execution. By the time you read a post, prices may have moved. Your fills, fees, and results will differ from any analyst’s.
7.4 Selective Results. Shared wins and losses are examples, not a complete or audited performance record.
8. Technology and Data Risks
Discord, Whop, brokers, and data providers can experience outages or delays. Heatmaps, calendars, and automated news may be delayed, incomplete, or wrong. Verify information with your broker or an official source before acting.
9. Acknowledgment
By using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read this Risk Disclosure, understand that trading involves substantial risk of loss, and accept full responsibility for your trading decisions. This disclosure is part of the Tradury LLC Terms & Conditions.
